Why do the men place such an importance on the 'delights of the marriage bed', while the women are ready, willing and able to give it up so easily?

Thats a good question. I think it has to deal with the will power and the masculine ways of men. See i think that men jus find women weak most times and that through sly sweet talking, like Kinesias tried with Myrrhine, they can get there way eventually, since they are masculine and all that. But women jus dont care, they can wait....their values are in family and more things of that sort, so they are going to try to protect that by any means

Good point. I never thought of it like that....and Liz brought up a good point today in class - "the biological urge to procreate is just an occurence in the nature of men"
